(Allan) Stuart Dougall, 82, of Oakville, Ontario passed away on Saturday November 5th, 2022 in Burlington, Ontario after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Stuart was born in Trinidad to Leslie and Margaret Dougall on June 4, 1940. He married Jacqueline Stanley on October 6, 1961 and they welcomed three children. At a very young age, Stuart started at Barclay’s Bank in San Fernando, Trinidad as a bank courier working his way up to branch manager and eventually transferring to Kingston, Jamaica.  In 1975, the family moved to Canada to join members of their extended family, gaining their citizenship in 1981. Stuart pursued a career at the Bank of Montreal, working in several locations in the Mississauga and Oakville area, eventually retiring as the Oakville Main branch manager in 1995. Stuart was well loved by his clients and is known for his support to many senior citizens offering free income tax services well into his retirement.  He was an avid stamp and coin collector throughout his life. A true family man who loved to travel with his children and extended family to Florida, Myrtle Beach, the West Indies and Europe.

Stuart is preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Dougall, his sister Margaret Simpson and his beloved Aunt and Uncle June and Ralph Carter.

He is survived by his spouse, Jacqueline; his son Stephen Dougall and his wife Terri and their children Heather (Andrew), Michael (Michelle) and Laura; his daughter Ann Marie Brown and her children Amanda (Dakari) and Victoria and his son Robert Dougall, his wife Brenda and their children Caitlin and Jessica.  Stuart will also be missed by his brother-in-laws/sister-in-laws and their families, several cousins and his many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of choice.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at the Village of Tansley Woods, who cared for Stuart and Jackie for many years, the staff at Billings Court Manor, who were so kind to Stuart and the family in his last days, and also the medical care that was provided by Dr. Layne and Dr. Ragonetti over the years.

Stuarty was a treasure to all who knew and encountered him. He was my mums first cousin and after Stuart moved to Canada, he never came home to Trinidad without coming to visit us. Still see him sitting in my porch when he was last here. So many beautiful memories. RIP Stuarty. We love you.
