Peacefully, with her sons by her side, at Scarborough General Hospital on Friday, April 3, 2020, at the age of 73, Gloria Pamela McCurdy (née Moffett) passed away.
Born on November 25, 1946 in Georgetown, Guyana, Gloria came to Canada in 1971, and worked at the Hospital for Sick Children for 43 years.
Gloria is survived by her two sons Rosmond and Kevin (Jeanette), and her grandchildren, Jessica, Colin, Benjamin, Isaiah, Florkencia and Neysa. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Brenda Joy Moffett, and siblings Stanley Moffett Jr. (Louise), Lynette Azeez, Lennox Moffett (Louisa), and Winnifred Wilson (Charles). She is predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Winnifred Moffett. She will be sadly missed and remembered forever by many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gloria (Pam to those closest to her) was a loving and generous woman who never failed to help others. She often extended herself and her home to anyone in need of a chat, a hug, a meal, or a place to stay. Anyone who knew Gloria knew she was a fabulous cook, with an infectious laugh, and a huge heart.
