Picture
Carol Ann Rivest (nee McNeil) peacefully entered the presence of Jesus, her Lord, and Saviour, on June 1, 2023, at 78 years of age.  She was married for 56 years to the love of her life Claude Rivest who predeceased her on June 27, 2022.

Carol is the cherished mother of her three children:  Renee & Wayne Mills, Jeff & Joanne Rivest, and Deborah & John Hormillosa.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of 10 grandchildren in whose lives she invested spiritually and especially in the giving of her time:  Ryan & Faith Mills, Michelle Bural, Darryn Mills & fiancée Jennifer Howson, Kyle & Katie Rivest, Lauren & Colt Colenutt, Conner Rivest, Katherine Rivest, Owen Hormillosa, Elle Hormillosa, and River Hormillosa.

She also took great delight in her seven great grandchildren:  Selah Mills, Levi Mills, Dillon Bural, Emma Bural, Maisie Rivest, Jackson Rivest, and Harper Colenutt.

Carol will be missed by her loving siblings, who really were her best friends:  Marilyn & Adam Maryanovich, Jerry & Donna McNeil, and Sandra & George Sims.  She is predeceased by her parents, Dan and Emma (LeClair), and her sister-in-law Mary Lynn McNeil.

She was a true nurturer and devoted her life to pouring into the lives of her children, encouraging, continually praying for, and leading them spiritually by her quiet example.  Her giving heart was always putting others before herself.  Alongside her husband Claude, she devoted 25 years of her life living out her faith and caring for those in need with her servant’s heart.

Our mother is physically gone, free from ailments and pains; however, her memories, influences, lessons taught and lived, remain tangible.  Selfishly, we wanted to keep her with us, but as Mom would say, she’d “prepared for her graduation day” and we could not hold on to her any longer. She has “fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith…”.

Carol will be remembered in a private family celebration of life.

So sorry!… what a great women she was, I worked with her at M&M meat shop in Malden, she was so kind & generous, she had made a great impression on me because that was a long time ago. What an example of a woman of God, I remember having conversations with her about God, and then she told me they sold everything and became missionaries. What a testimony she will have in Heaven. So sorry for your loss.

Renee. I am so sorry for your loss. I met Carole a few times and she was a delight. As you know, Claude and I went through Grade School together.
I had often thought about them and recently wrote Carole a note which she would not have received.
They will be fondly remembered by Family and Extended Family - those who were helped in Mexico.
Rest In Peace my friend.
