While in the hospital on September 28th, David was in his glory telling Suzanne about how I used to cry all the time when I was young, “even when Mona made a delicious soup that he didn’t want to eat”. Someone was sitting in emergency in the bed ‘next door’, he laughed out loud at the story, regained control and said “sorry”. What can I say, that was David! Thank you for being a wonderful big brother (in law)! Sleep well. I’ll try hard not to cry.

Marybeth, I'm not sure I ever met David but I sure knew you some 60 years ago and still remember meeting and talking with your dad.
I'm sorry and saddened of your loss but memories of 50 years of devotion in marriage is a joy you will always remember and that's what you can hold on to. My prayers are with you and your family.

We loved him. I'll always think of him as I did when I was a girl- a big teddy bear who gave me great hugs & who was so funny. Who made us feel loved when we were with him. Beautiful obituary. It made me smile & cry.

I'm hugging you,

S xxoo

I cannot express how sorry I am MB for the loss of a sincerely remarkable, funny, generous, humble and loving man. I will be forever grateful to have known Dave, and call him my family. To have shared hugs and kisses, tears and laughs over many treasured years. Our Dad was a very lucky man to be able to call him his best friend Growing up surrounded by friendship and support like the two of them gave each other was inspiring & brought so many smiles all round. My peace comes knowing that the two of them are sharing a drink and some very funny stories together again.

All our love and deepest sympathies.

I recall so many fun and memorable times we shared.

I am thinking of you.
