He will be missed by his two children Colleen Murphy and Joshua Murphy (Lauren Routhier), grandsons Jackson and Noah, his brothers Noel, Jery and Kevin, his many nieces and nephews and friends.
Sean’s great loves were rock & roll music, fishing and photography. He was happiest out on a lake with a rod in his hand or with a camera on his arm snapping the next great moment. Music was a staple in his life, he almost always had his favourite tunes playing in the background regardless of what he was doing.
Later in life Sean picked up a travel bug, making a few trips to his homeland of Ireland and a few sunny destinations like Cuba, Panama and, Costa Rica. Post retirement he added golf to his list of hobbies and loved getting out on the course.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Credit Valley Hospital, specifically Unit 2A for the care they provided Sean in his last weeks and the kindness they extended to his family.
In keeping with Sean’s wishes there will be a private gathering for family and friends in the coming weeks. Expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, can be provided through donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada.
