Jonny Thomas Clark

Passed away peacefully on November 8, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, Ontario with his family by his side. Jonny was born on August 25, 1947 in Cambridge, Ontario.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Betty Ann Clark (nee Matthews) (married December 10, 1966). Sadly missed by his children Shelley (Bruce Chornaby) and Scott (Kim Charron-McLeod). Proud grandfather of Nathan and Ryan Chornaby and Madeline Clark. Beloved brother of Donna Mae. Also missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews, numerous friends and his pet companion Charlotte.

Predeceased by his parents Sydney John Henry Clark (1967) and Isabella “Ruth” Dale (1994). Also predeceased by sisters Lynn (2016) and Dale (2004).

Jonny lived in Cambridge all of his life. He was an employee of Babcock & Wilcox from 1966 until his retirement in 2007. He was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 126 in Preston and the Preston Scout House Band. He loved fishing, enjoyed Nascar racing and the Toronto Blue Jays. His family, especially his grandchildren, were his pride and joy. He was the most kind, caring and compassionate man a family could ask for.

Jonny fought so hard for so many years and he just couldn’t take the pain anymore. We all find comfort that he is no longer suffering.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
